The Dosage is the latest trio to hit the Central Coast! This acoustic/electric combo has over 100 years’ combined experience in blues, rock, soul, country and western and zydeco genres. The core group can rock any venue with any type of music that audiences want to hear. The members are:

Front man Steve Anderson has been singing and playing guitar for 37 years. He has played in many groups and with such notables as Robert Lucas, Joe Houston, the Lubricators, and White Boy James in the blues genre; and with Michael Forbes, Fastforward and Slyde in the classic rock/Top 40 realm, in addition to fronting his own groups since 1998.

Mike Melchione recently moved to the Central Coast. This Grammy award-winning guitarist worked for 28 years with the preeminent ambassador of Louisiana’s zydeco music Buckwheat Zydeco until his passing in 2016. He still tours occasionally with the “crown prince” of Zydeco, CJ Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band.

Bruce Willard has been a Central Coast musician since 1964. He returned to the area in 2011 to continue rocking SLO county. He currently plays bass and sings with local bands Dr. Danger and Catalina Eddy and the Blue Keys and is a host bassist with many of the local Masters Blues Jam sessions.
