Songwriters at Play featuring Stoll Vaughan

What do John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, James McMurtry, Marty Stuart, Def Leppard and Journey have in common? Stoll Vaughan, who has toured with all of them. Originally from Kentucky, Stoll is now an L.A. based Americana folksinger-songwriter. His latest record The Conversation was co-produced by Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket) and Mike Wanchic (Mellencamp). Mike Greenblatt of Goldmine describes it “…one can loose one’s self in his thought provoking lyrics while grooving to his instant old friend voice…”. His music has been featured in major motion pictures and television series such as True Blood, Friday Night Lights, Shameless, The Office, and composed music for David Lynch’s Interview Project.

Showcase runs 6:00-8:30pm at Branch Street Deli, 203 E Branch St., Arroyo Grande. (805) 489-9099. The showcase includes one featured act, playing a 45-minute set to close out the show, and others playing 4-song sets. We pass the tip jar during the featured set, otherwise no cover. All ages are welcome.
